Freklo Account Deletion

This page explains how to delete your account and your personal data from Freklo: Loyalty Rewards, the Freklo app for Android and iOS. Deleting an account is permanent: points, stamps and rewards at the businesses you joined cannot be restored afterwards.

1. Delete your account in the app

  1. Open Freklo and make sure you are signed in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Open Settings — your profile settings: the Profile tab in customer mode, or More in business mode.
  3. Select Delete account.
  4. Review the information shown and confirm the deletion.
For your security you may have to verify your identity again just before deleting — your password, or a fresh Apple or Google sign-in. If the app tells you to sign in again, do that and repeat the steps. Everything listed in section 3 is removed as soon as you confirm. On iOS you can save a copy of your data first with Export my data, in the same Your data section.

2. Request deletion by email

If you cannot sign in or cannot open the app, email us and we will delete the account for you. Email is our only support channel, so please use it rather than any other route.

Email frekloapp@gmail.com

  • Write to frekloapp@gmail.com with the subject “Freklo account deletion request”.
  • Send the message from the email address associated with your Freklo account, so we can match the request to the right account.
  • Say that you want the account deleted, and mention any business you own on Freklo (see section 5).
We may ask you for reasonable proof of identity — for example, replying from the account email address, or confirming a business you joined. We will never ask you for your password, and nobody from Freklo will ever request it by email, phone or message. Please do not include your password or payment details in your message.

3. What is deleted

Confirming deletion in the app removes all of the following, at every business you had joined:

  • Your sign-in — the Freklo account itself in Firebase Authentication, together with your email-and-password credential and any Apple or Google sign-in linked to it.
  • Your profile — your name, email address, phone number if you added one, your customer and business roles, your language, appearance and notification preferences, and your profile-photo reference.
  • Your loyalty cards — every membership at every business, with its points, stamps, reward progress and the date you joined.
  • Your activity history — the points and reward records attached to those memberships: points added, points used, rewards unlocked.
  • Your Apple Wallet passes — the pass QR code and its authentication token, and the Wallet device registrations, so passes stop updating and can no longer be scanned at a counter.
  • Your notifications — both in-app inboxes, the customer one and the business one, including the notifications businesses sent you.
  • Your notification devices — the push-notification tokens registered for your phones and tablets, so this account's notifications stop reaching every device.

Freklo never stores card or payment details for loyalty cards and takes no payment from customers, so there are no customer payment records to delete. Cloud file storage holds only server-generated Apple Wallet artwork belonging to businesses; it never holds customer files, photos or uploads.

4. What is kept, and why

Three things outlive the account. None of them contains your name, your email address, your activity or any credential.

  • A security and fraud-prevention record

One audit entry records that an account deletion took place: the action, your account's internal user id, how many memberships were removed, and the time. It lets us investigate fraud and abuse and show that the deletion was properly authorised. Nothing in it identifies you by name, email address or activity. Alongside it, an internal counter keyed to the same id limits how often deletion can be attempted, which prevents abuse of this feature.

Retention: kept indefinitely; no automatic expiry is configured for these records today.
  • An anonymous notice to the businesses you had joined

Each business you were a member of is told that a customer deleted their account. That notice carries only the business's own name. It does not include your name, your email address or your balance, and the business cannot tell from it who left.

Retention: kept in that business's own notification list until the business or its owner deletes it.
  • Short-lived database version history

Freklo runs no database backup schedule, and point-in-time recovery is switched off, so there is no backup from which a deleted account could be restored. The database keeps only its own internal version window of one hour.

Retention: about one hour, after which deleted records are gone for good.

Freklo keeps no financial, tax or other legally mandated records about customer accounts, and there is no other category of retained personal data.

5. If you run or work at a business

Deleting your account does not delete a business workspace, because a business belongs to its team and its customers, not to one person alone. Please deal with the business first:

  • If you own a business — delete it in the app first: switch to business mode, open More → Business profile → Delete business and type the business name to confirm. That removes the business, its loyalty programs, its team records, every customer membership in it and its subscription details. Then delete your account. If you delete your account without doing this, the business, its programs and your team record — which includes your name and email address — stay in place, and you will need to email us to have them removed.
  • If you are a team member — only an owner or an admin can remove you from a business team, and your team record holds your name and email address. Ask them to remove you before you delete your account, or email us and we will arrange it.

Server-generated Apple Wallet artwork for a business is currently kept in file storage after the business is deleted. It is the business's own banner image and contains no customer data; email us if you want it removed.

6. How long it takes

  • In-app deletion — immediate. The account and the data in section 3 are removed while you wait, and you are signed out.
  • Email requests — we usually reply within a couple of days, and we complete verified requests within 30 days of receiving them.
  • Anything we cannot complete — if we cannot verify that a request comes from the account holder, we will tell you why, rather than delete an account on someone else's word.
